Equities

The S&P 500, and the NASDAQ Composite indices resumed their strategic Bullish advance; Europe, Emerging Markets are on Bear alert, and may be bottoming; China
remains Bearish.

  • Equity Styles: Large Cap Growth is now leading Large Cap Value and Mid and Small caps.


  • Ranked Sectors:  Leaders - Energy, Financial, Consumer Discretionary, Technology;
    Laggards - Communication Services, Consumer Staples, Health Care, Utilities.

Fixed Income

Yields of 30-year US Treasury Bond and 10-year Note paused their respective rises. The Yield of the 2-year US Treasury Note rose sharply.

The Yield Curve flattened after steepening for four weeks.

Currencies

The Australian Dollar, the Euro, and the British Pound strengthened a bit; the Japanese Yen plunged.

The US Dollar weakened slightly while in a long-term uptrend. Nearing resistance at 94.70.

Gold continues its long-term downtrend.
