Equities

The S&P 500, and the NASDAQ Composite continue their strategic Bullish advance. Europe resumed its uptrend; Emerging Markets on Bull alert; China remains Bearish.

  • Equity Styles:  Large Cap Growth continues leading Large Cap Value and Mid and Small caps.


  • Ranked Sectors:  Leaders - Consumer Discretionary, Energy, Technology, Real Estate

    Laggards - Materials, Utilities, Consumer Staples, Communication Services

Bonds

During the past week the Yields of the 30-year US Treasury Bond and 10-year US Treasury Note fell, while the Yield of the 2 year US Note rose sharply.

The Yield Curve flattened further. Interest rate moves last week may be a little too far, too fast.

 

Currencies

The Australian Dollar continues to strengthen; while the Euro, the British Pound, and the Yen all weakened.

The US Dollar resumed strengthening, remains in long term uptrend; approaching resistance at 94.50. It may pause at the level.

Gold continues cycling up/down in trading range while in a long term downtrend.
